Early Work

Using hand-building technics, I explored traditional pottery forms such as bowls, vases, plates, etc. Surface texture became an important consideration along with the use of multiple colour glazes. This enabled me to treat these forms as a canvas on which to employ the abstract, painterly qualities of the glaze application.
